Spirent Communications delivers first fully-channelized OC-192 bit error rate test solution at OFC

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- OFC 2002 -- Spirent Communications(tm), a wholly owned business group of Spirent plc (NYSE: SPM), today announced fully channelized OC-192 Bit Error Rate Testing (BERT) capabilities on its Adtech AX/4000 Broadband Test System for core and metro networks. The product has already garnered the attention of several network equipment manufacturers, including White Rock Networks, which will be using the advanced capabilities to test its optical product. Spirent's new, fully channelized Adtech OC-192 BERT solution is being demonstrated at the Optical Fiber Communication (OFC) Conference this week in Anaheim, California, Booth #2087. Network equipment manufacturers, carriers and service providers are currently driving the development and deployment of optical switches and cross-connects with STS-1 grooming capabilities for core and metro area networks. Spirent is providing the tools that will help them analyze the performance of these devices, assure services based on these devices and accelerate their time to market and time to profit.
