SAN DIEGO -- Sorrento Networks, a leading developer of all-optical networking solutions, announced today that it has doubled the size of its staff in recent months, bringing the total headcount to 220. Sorrento Networks, one of San Diego's fastest growing high-tech companies, will accommodate this growth by moving into a custom-designed product assembly and test facility next door to its current headquarters building in the Sorrento Valley. Sorrento Networks is a subsidiary of Osicom Technologies (Nasdaq:FIBR). The impetus behind the recent increase in hiring is to meet the requirements of its growing customer base and to continue to deliver innovative optical networking solutions to the marketplace. Sorrento Networks' existing customers include Cox Communications, Edison Carrier Solutions, AT&T Broadband Network Services, United Pan-Europe Communications (UPC), Tangshan Cable Television (China), Storage Area Network partner INRANGE Technologies and others.

"Despite the tight labor market locally and nationally, we have been fortunate to attract some of the best and brightest engineers, marketing professionals and financial specialists," said Dr. Xin Cheng, chairman and CEO of Sorrento Networks. "With the expansion of our human capital, Sorrento Networks can continue its market leadership and deliver the products that our customers want today and tomorrow."
