New version of the Siemens HiPath 4000 IP system offers high-capacity, real-time communication over IP
November 27, 2003
MUNICH -- HiPath 4000 V2.0 is the further developed version of the HiPath 4000 real-time IP systems from Siemens IC Networks. This new version allows medium-size and large companies to exploit the benefits of Internet Protocol communication without foregoing the wide array of features and high level of availability offered by traditional telephone systems. HiPath 4000 V2.0 provides a reliable, high-capacity communication environment for trouble-free real-time business handling as required especially by large IP networks, branch networks, and configurations with satellite offices. Companies can enjoy greater flexibility and cost savings while making better use of the advantages of IP communication in their day-to-day business operations. HiPath 4000 V2.0 thus provides a dependable platform for using second generation IP (2gIP) applications.
HiPath 4000 is the real-time IP system for large enterprises and supports medium to very large configurations. It is based on the IP distributed architecture. This means the entire system comprises several components – which may also be geographically separated – that are networked using IP (LAN/WAN) and allow IP, TDM, and analog networks to coexist. As a result, Enterprise customers can continue using their existing investments and at the same time enjoy the benefits of IP technology. The entire system distributed over IP is administered centrally.
