New release adds VLAN tag/untag and other features to SG2000L and SG2000H multi-gigabit security gateways

MILPITAS, Calif. -- ServGate Technologies, Inc., a pioneer in next generation network processor-based security appliances, announced that it has released version 2.34 of the ServGate Operating System (SGOX) for the SG2000 Security Gateway, a 2 Gbps high-performance security appliance tailored for large enterprise and service provider applications.The release adds support for virtual LAN (VLAN) tagging and untagging, and also makes significant enhancements in system functionality and management. Two versions of the product are available, SG2000L, which features 50 Virtual Gateways (independent security domains) and the SG2000H, which features 500 Virtual Gateways. Both products are based on ServGate's state-of-the-art FireFlex™ Network Processor architecture, and also feature the Fast Security Policy Director™, advanced policy lookup engine that contributes to the SG2000's wire-speed performance. Other features include High Availability, integrated DoS attack protection, redundant hot-swappable power supplies, redundant cooling fans and a comprehensive monitoring and logging system.
