Sentito Gets $10M
Sentito Networks secures $10 million in new funding
June 8, 2005
ACTON, Mass. -- sentitO Networks, a leading provider of distributed voice over IP (VoIP) switching and service delivery solutions for global telecommunications service providers, today announced that it has secured $10 million in new funding. All existing investors participated in this incremental extension of the fourth (D) round, which was raised in support of sentitO's US and international market expansion, and the imminent introduction of new capabilities that are expected to dramatically reshape the time to profitability of network and subscriber VoIP services.
sentitO's distributed ONX architecture has become broadly deployed domestically and internationally, and is increasingly recognized as the solution of choice among its growing base of global partners. The ONX Suite is a new class of carrier VoIP infrastructure that enables distributed, end-to-end service delivery for VoIP service providers. Thus far, the company has raised $61 million in funding from leading venture capital investors including Kodiak Venture Partners, Core Capital Partners, Technology Venture Partners, Mid-Atlantic Venture Funds, Inflection Point Ventures, Columbus Nova and TELUS Ventures.
"sentitO has a superior technology set and business model for carrier VoIP and enhanced services delivery. The ONX Suite allows service providers to realize a truly open and distributed application layer, enabling them to remain nimble while delivering a much larger array of network and subscriber VoIP services, said Tom Smith, partner at Mid-Atlantic Venture Funds. "Their market-proven track record and forthcoming product additions make sentitO a distinctly attractive investment opportunity in a young market sector that's surprisingly heavily burdened by proprietary systems."
