The SCTE Foundation announces its summary of grants it approved for members of SCTE during Q2 of 2008

EXTON, Pa. -- The SCTE Foundation is pleased to announce today its summary of grants it approved for members of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) during the second quarter of 2008.

Helping to fulfill the educational goals of SCTE members, the SCTE Foundation approved grants for six individuals during the quarter:

  • Frank Berry, Comcast Cable Communications

  • Ron Brunt, Deployment Technologies Inc.

  • Wes Burton (member in transition)

  • Jeff Gouger, Southern VT Cable/Duncan Cable TV

  • Lesa Ouellette, Time Warner Cable

  • William Tolbert, Comcast Cable Communications



These SCTE Foundation grants were earmarked for a variety of professional development opportunities comprising Cisco CCNA online courses (offered via the SCTE Virtual Classroom) and the associated certifications, Jones/NCTI™ courses, a master’s degree in telecommunications engineering technology, and SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® 2008, which took place June 24–27 in Philadelphia.
