SCTE Foundation provides major grant to Chris Gutel

EXTON, Pa. -- The SCTE Foundation is pleased to announce today that it recently awarded a major grant to Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) member Chris Gutel of Cox Communications.
Gutel, who is a technical trainer in Oklahoma City, Okla., will apply the major grant toward a bachelor of science in network management from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Okla.
The SCTE Foundation was established by the SCTE Board of Directors in 2005 and began issuing grants in 2006. The Foundation has helped numerous SCTE members by distributing grants totaling approximately $75,000. The SCTE Foundation’s primary purpose is to provide expanded educational opportunities for SCTE members to assist them in accomplishing their professional development goals and dreams.
The SCTE Foundation Board of Directors recently approved Gutel’s application for a major grant following preliminary approvals by the Foundation’s Major Grants Subcommittee and the Foundation’s Awards Committee.
