EXTON, Pa. -- The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and Comcast University today announced a strategic relationship that is designed to increase the availability of training resources for Comcast’s technical instructor corps and to ensure greater effectiveness of SCTE development tools.

The agreement calls for expanded memberships in SCTE for Comcast University staff, providing training personnel with access to SCTE’s full complement of live, online and print training materials. In addition, SCTE and Comcast University will partner where appropriate on the creation of new technical learning opportunities.

“Whether we’re optimizing the experience for our customers today or preparing our networks for the services of tomorrow, Comcast is committed to providing our workforce with the tools and training they need to provide the best possible results,” said Martha Soehren, chief learning officer for Comcast. “Our relationship with SCTE will enable us to offer our trainers access to live classes, webinars, certification training and other resources that can help them to more effectively facilitate Comcast University courses.”
