Redknee appoints Chris Newton-Smith managing director for the EMEA region

TORONTO -- Redknee (AIM:RKN), a leading provider ofinnovative infrastructure software that monetizes and personalizes servicesand content for mobile operators, today announced the appointment of ChrisNewton-Smith as managing director, EMEA.
Mr. Newton-Smith brings extensive experience in sales, marketing, productmanagement and business development to Redknee, where he will be responsiblefor directing Redknee's sales and operations including business development,product delivery, and customer support in the EMEA region. Customers underRedknee's EMEA umbrella include Vodafone, O2, and MTC.

Previously, Mr. Newton-Smith was director of business development andproduct marketing, for LogicaCMG Global Telecoms (LSE:LOG; Euronext:LOG)where he led a team responsible for sales and product marketing in theApplication and Content Services (ACS) business unit. Past positions includesales management, marketing, product management, software development, andtechnology evaluation at Redknee, RIM, Encana, and UBS AG.
