RADview Element Management System validated as compatible with IBM’s Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus
June 24, 2008
MAHWAH, N.J. -- RADview-EMS, the carrier-class, modular, client-server, scalable element management system from RAD Data Communications, has been validated as Ready for IBM Tivoli Software. This validation is an indication that RADview-EMS is integrated with IBM’s Tivoli Netcool®/OMNIbus™ software, which delivers real-time, centralized monitoring of complex networks and IT domains.
Widely recognized as the industry’s leading OSS (Operations Support System) program, Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus enables network managers to concentrate all their fault management in one package. RAD will be among the first companies in the industry to apply the Netcool/OMNIbus program to solutions deployed in cellular backhaul networks.
“This is particularly good news not only for cellular operators, but also utilities, ISPs, and service providers requiring carrier class solutions,” states Ben Kapon, RADview Product Line Manager at RAD Data Communications. “Given that their networks increasingly are comprised of products manufactured by different vendors, management is now more crucial than ever before.
