Princeton Optronics names former Bookham exec Andy Quinn as CEO

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Princeton Optronics, Inc., an innovator in tunable lasers for fiber-optic networks, today announced the appointment of Andy Quinn as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Quinn brings over 20 years of leadership and industry experience to the company.“I am honored to accept the challenge of leading Princeton Optronics,” said Quinn. “This company has realized great success in the development of a highly differentiated tunable laser product that is well positioned to meet both current and future requirements of the optical network infrastructure. I look forward to working with the Princeton team as we now prepare the product for high volume manufacturing.”Over the years, Quinn made positive contributions in a number of executive roles within the Optoelectronics industry. Most recently, he served a dual role as President of North America and Chief Operating Officer for Bookham Technologies (UK). Previously, Quinn held posts including: Director, Lucent Technologies Optoelectronics Group (now part of Agere Systems), Founder and President of Spectracom, Inc. (acquired by ADC), Operations Director with Pirelli Cavi SPA in Milan, Italy and General Manager of Nortel Networks Submarine Components Group in Paignton, England. Princeton Optronics Inc.
