Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa, Monet d.o.o., and Lycos select Portal

CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Portal Software, Inc. (Pink Sheets:PRSF - News) the premier global provider of billing and Revenue Management solutions for the global communications and media markets, today announced that Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa Sp. z o.o. (PTC), one of the largest mobile operators in Eastern Europe with over 8 million subscribers, has officially selected Portal Software as a technology partner to provide a convergent billing solution. Portal initially enabled customer management and rating for subscribers of PTC's pre- and post-paid wireless data and content services. The project is already in the LIVE phase.

Portal's platform allows PTC to deliver the same data and content services to both pre- and post-paid subscribers. The application is also providing third party content services rating and settlement and may be expanded in the future, at PTC's option, to support voice services.

Lycos, a wholly-owned subsidiary of South Korean-based Daum Communications Corporation, operates a variety of websites including Lycos.com, Hotbot.com, Matchmaker.com, Angelfire.com, Tripod.com, and Wired.com, and will utilize Portal's Revenue Management solution to rate, bill, charge, and collect revenue from its customers for website and other usage charges.
