PeopleSoft announces support for Microsoft PocketPC Phone Edition and Windows-powered Smartphone

PARIS -- At Connect EMEA 2002, PeopleSoft Inc. (Nasdaq:PSFT) announced its support ofMicrosoft's PocketPC Phone Edition platform and the newly launched MicrosoftWindows(R) Powered Smartphone software. PeopleSoft will deliver the firstenterprise applications to use the new wireless communication and telephonyfeatures available with PocketPC Phone Edition later this year. In addition,PeopleSoft will deliver wireless web support in early 2003 for MicrosoftWindows Powered Smartphone software, launched in London yesterday. PeopleSoft CRM Mobile Sales will bring up-to-the-minute sales information tomobile workers at the point of customer contact. The solution will allow salesprofessionals and executives to use a wireless web browser to manageopportunities, update account information, and track sales performancedirectly from any Windows Powered Smartphone device. The enhanced mobileproducts are part of PeopleSoft's comprehensive suite of Customer RelationshipManagement solutions that deliver marketing, sales, and service capabilitiesacross a wide range of channels.
