NEW YORK -- NTT America, a wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation, today announced the launch of its Global IP Network business and Enterprise Hosting business in addition to the private network services already offered under the Arcstar brand. By combining the offerings under one roof, NTT America will be in a position to provide integrated data networking, IP, and hosting solutions through a single resource to its growing global customer base. Both the Global IP Network and Enterprise Hosting businesses were previously operated at Verio, another NTT Communications subsidiary, which was acquired in September 2000.

“Our Tier-1 IP network is driven by financially-backed service level agreements (SLAs), secure networking and managed VPNs, reliable content distribution capability via Smart Content Delivery™, and NTT Communications’ award-winning commercial implementation of IPv6,” said Kazuhiro Gomi, Vice President of Global IP Network Business Unit at NTT America. “With our combined service capabilities and resources, we will be better equipped to satisfy the diverse needs of our customers.”

“NTT America’s Enterprise Hosting services will leverage the company’s strong customer care and engineering quality to provide application hosting, collaborative messaging, and a range of managed services,” said Hideki Kurihara, Vice President of Enterprise Hosting Business Unit at NTT America. “It is our competitive edge to deliver corporations the quality and convenience of one-stop-shopping capability for all three service domains.”

“The integration of the Global IP Network and Enterprise Hosting services under NTT America will reemphasize NTT Communications’ leadership position as a comprehensive enterprise solutions provider,” said Tatsuo Kawasaki, President & CEO of NTT America. “Through the combination of Global Tier-1 Internet Service and reputable Arcstar services, NTT America will be able to provide its customers with both open and closed network solutions, along with the back-end support which won ‘Best Customer Care’ at the 2005 World Communications Awards.”

Following the transfer of these businesses to NTT America, Verio will focus on the delivery of hosting and managed services to small and mid-market businesses and partners worldwide.
