The Internet & Television Association today announced the addition of Shannon Scott as Chief Financial Officer.
Scott joins NCTA from New Venture Fund, where as CFO she developed the short-term and long-term strategies to ensure excellent financial health and sustainability for the organization. In addition, she worked closely with their Board of Directors, oversaw external partnerships with banking and accounting providers, managed the board’s finance committee, and represented the Fund in conversations with donors and project staff.
Previously, Scott was at the Greater Washington Community Foundation, where she also served as CFO and set financial policy and strategy. She also served as CFO at the National Housing Trust and the Council on Foundations, and spent over 12 years at Capital Impact Partners, a community development financial institution providing capital and technical assistance for community groups.
Scott holds a BA in accounting from George Washington University and an MBA in finance from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. She currently serves on the board of City First Enterprises, a DC-based community development financial institution.
