LONDON -- Pogo Mobile Solutions today announced that it has acquired the relevant assets of Pogo Technology Ltd and appointed Ran Mokady, wireless data pioneer and former Microsoft director of feature phone platforms, as chief executive officer.

Mokady is joined on the new company's management team by two former Pogo Technology executives, Stephen Wolff and Matthew Woolf, who become commercial director and chief technology officer respectively. In addition, around 15 of Pogo Technology's talented team of hardware and software engineers have been re-hired by Pogo Mobile Solutions. The new team will position Pogo as an IP (intellectual property) licensing company and work with partners to deliver an easy to use, competitively priced, totally integrated, end-to-end mobile data solution over GSM and GPRS networks. "We have acquired some great technology and a highly experienced team of specialists and plan to transform this business into a successful IP licensing operation," said Ran Mokady, CEO of Pogo Mobile Solutions.
