LONDON -- Logica, the global solutions company and leader in mobile messaging and mobile payments, and VoluBill today announced a global agreement to jointly market a combined content charging solution. The solution, based on VoluBill's Dialog Control and Charging Platform (D2CP) and Logica's Prepaid Service Agent (PSA), enables mobile operators to take the next critical step into the prepaid content and data services market, by offering flexible content charging models. The integrated products satisfy the need for prepaid GPRS content charging. The massive growth in the number of global prepaid subscribers is driving operators to provide innovative prepaid charging solutions for all forms of mobile data. However, most prepaid services currently only offer access to basic services like voice and text messaging. By taking advantage of Logica and VoluBill's combined strengths, operators have an immediate solution for GPRS content charging and can offer prepaid customers Internet downloads, web browsing time and other compelling data services.Paul Gleeson, director of mobile payments at Logica, commented: "We are excited to be working with VoluBill, and believe the combination of their first-to-market mobile content charging solution with Logica's mobile payments platform is an extremely attractive proposition. Combining VoluBill's D2CP with Logica's PSA allows us to offer operators significantly greater control of their user content sessions, driving greater revenues from prepaid content." André Meyer, CEO and chairman of VoluBill, added: "VoluBill is delighted to be working with a market leader such as Logica. This presents us with an exciting opportunity to go to market with Logica's powerful mobile payments platform, bringing an immediate solution to the requirement for prepaid content charging."
