WASHINGTON -- LiquidxStream Systems, Inc. announced that it hasexpanded its LxS-3616 Universal Edge QAM capacity to 36 QAMs per RF port. Thisenhancement takes the already industry leading Edge QAM from 512 to 576 QAMs perchassis, more than quadrupling the density of competitive offerings.

While the rest of the industry works to roll out 6 or 8 QAMs per RF port, LiquidxStreamcontinues to lead the way in port density. By using its advanced LiquidQAM™ digitaltechnology to expand to 36 QAMs per RF port, the LxS-3616 enables years of effortlesscapacity expansion necessary to support advanced digital services. In addition to costsavings related to future installation, higher port density means reduced hub wiring andcabling costs and complexities. With the high availability LxS-3616 platform, all digitalservices can be provided by one RF port per service group; no time consuming and complexrewiring accompanied by the typical customer interruptions. The LxS-3616 was designedfrom the ground up to “never interrupt a customer’s viewing experience.” Now that benefitextends even further into the future.

Higher port density also means lower power consumption and lower upfront capitalexpenditures for head-end powering infrastructure.
