SHENZHEN, China -- The Dutch Communications Service provider Royal KPN signed a formal contract with Huawei for CWDM/DWDM project. The project includes access layer CWDM covering the whole of the Netherlands and the national backbone DWDM. This project was Huawei’s another breakthrough in Europe with another Tier 1 Operator following its recent qualification as a preferred supplier of MSAN and transmission equipment to BT 21CN.

During the three-month project operation, Huawei focused on customer demands, and responded quickly to customer’s requirements. After strict testing by KPN experts, Huawei finally won the trust of the customer as well as the whole project with its high-quality products.

Eelco Blok, Corporate Strategy & Innovation Officer of KPN said, “KPN is happy to have chosen a new strategic partner which is one of the leading telecom manufacturers in China. KPN expects that when this project is successfully completed this partnership may lead to more successful projects.”

Mr. Chen Haijun, Managing Director of Huawei Dutch office, said, “We are very happy to provide our high quality services and products to KPN. This is another big breakthrough following the Telfort 3G contract. We believe Huawei’s good quality product, excellent service and quick response to customers’ requirements, as well as our cost effective solutions will bring high returns on investment to customers.
