Zito Media selects Juniper Networks to expand services and extend reach into new markets

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) today announced Zito Media has selected Juniper's solutions to upgrade its network and develop a broadband infrastructure capable of serving underserved communities located in Zito's service areas of New York, northern Pennsylvania and western Ohio.
Zito selected Juniper Networks MX80 Universal Edge Routers powered by Junos software to offer a multitude of advanced IP services, including VPLS, EPL, EVPL, IP transit and hosted VoIP solutions that provide easy management and cost savings for subscribers. The MX80 provides a unique solution that enables advanced MPLS/VPN functionality in a space-saving two rack unit form factor and will enable Zito to distribute video to cable markets.
'As we looked into upgrading our infrastructure to provide a multitude of advanced services, we needed a solution that would allow us to reach underserved communities,' said Chad Gist, vice president of IP Networks, Zito Media.
