Juniper announces final settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:JNPR - News), today announced that the Commissioners of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have authorized the final settlement between the company and the SEC regarding the previously-disclosed SEC inquiry into the company's historical stock option granting practices. Without admitting or denying the allegations in the SEC's complaint, Juniper Networks has agreed to settle the charges by consenting to a permanent injunction against any future violations of the antifraud, reporting, books-and-records and internal control provisions of the federal securities laws. No monetary penalties were assessed against the company in conjunction with today's announced settlement.

Scott Kriens, Juniper Network's Chairman and CEO, summarized, "We are pleased to conclude this matter with the SEC and to continue our intense focus on execution and the growth of Juniper Networks."
