SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR - News) today announced the extension of its service outreach to western Japanese customers with the opening of a new office in the western regional center of Osaka. "The new office reflects the opportunities for growth in the Japanese market and also our ongoing commitment to the partnership with our customers in the western area," said Masanori Osuga, vice president, Japan, for Juniper Networks.

"A number of our customers have their office headquarters or regional network hub based in Osaka. An ongoing physical presence close to their operational centers enables Juniper Networks to support them as they expand their networks and increasingly transition to the next generation of value-added services."

The West Japan Osaka office is the second Juniper Networks office in Japan. The company's Tokyo office, which opened in 1999, will continue to be the center of its operations in Japan.
