SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR), a leading provider of trusted infrastructures for the New Public Network, and Yaw Jenq Technology Corporation, a leading Taiwanese service provider, today announced that Yaw Jenq will deploy Juniper Networks G-series Cable Modem Termination Systems (CMTSs) and ERX Edge Routers to build a Multiple Internet Service Provider (MISP) cable network capable of delivering advanced IP subscriber services to its broadband cable subscribers. The Juniper Networks products will help Yaw Jenq minimize service disruptions and maximize service revenue through the ability to offer new and innovative subscriber-based broadband services. Yaw Jenq selected Juniper Networks cable IP solution for its ability to ensure the delivery of content-rich, multimedia services over a DOCSIS network, as well as for its subscriber management functions. Juniper Networks G-series CMTSs provide high-density DOCSIS module and superior Radio Frequency (RF) performance for maximizing bandwidth capacity and eliminating service disruption. The ERX Edge Router, a single platform that combines subscriber management functions with carrier-class routing, helps minimize deployment and maintenance expenses. Yaw Jenq will roll out the services across Taipei with initial deployment in four major points of presence (PoPs). "We have been impressed with the superior RF performance and scalability of the G-series CMTS family. It has enabled us to offer fast, reliable cable modem services to our customers," said Simon Hsu, general manager, Yaw Jenq. "When used in combination with the G-series CMTS, the ERX platform enables us to deliver enhanced IP services consistently across all access technologies, including DSL, wireless and cable."
