Ericsson substitutes value for volumes in its patter after recognizing a slowdown in traffic growth – but it still bets AI will have a massive impact on the network.
Ixia will demonstrate the XENPAK Load Module, along with its comprehensive suite of 10-gigabit Ethernet testing solutions, at OFC

CALABASAS, Calif. -- Ixia (Nasdaq:XXIA), a leading provider of high-speed, multiport network performance analysis and network monitoring systems, announced today the world's first XENPAK performance analysis test platform to validate XENPAK transceivers and 10 Gigabit Ethernet optical switches and routers. "Ixia is dedicated to providing our customers with the most cost effective, scalable, and high performance network test equipment on the market," said Eran Karoly, Ixia's vice president of marketing. "Using a single Ixia XENPAK Load Module, developers of XENPAK transceivers can for the first time plug their modules into a real operating environment, fully testing the electrical XAUI and optical performance capabilities of their transceivers. Similarly, switch/router developers who are looking for a single solution to test multiple IEEE 802.ae defined interfaces can now use a single XENPAK Load Module and multiple pluggable transceivers, rather than using multiple load modules with different fixed optics." The Ixia XENPAK Load Module implements the latest draft of the XENPAK Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), supporting hot pluggable 10 Gigabit Ethernet transceivers, which slide into the Load Module through a PCB cut-out and connect via an industry-standard 70 pin connector. By supporting all IEEE 802.3ae approved optical interfaces, interoperability with multiple XENPAK transceiver vendors is assured. Ixia
