IPTV-Americas selects Verimatrix for content security across Latin America

RIO DE JANEIRO -- Verimatrix, setting the standard in content security technologies that enhance the value of pay-TV networks, today announced that IPTV-Americas has selected the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS(TM)) to provide digital video content security throughout its digital video network. IPTV Americas is currently running trials of its turnkey IPTV solution with telecommunications carriers in Latin America and plans a full-scale launch in 2007 to meet growing demand for sophisticated entertainment options throughout Latin America. IPTV-Americas offers a complete IPTV solution consisting of a centralized IPTV head end in Miami with fiber optic access to telephone companies in Latin America through the NAP (network access point) of the Americas. IPTV-Americas also offers aggregated products and services that help telephone companies leverage start-up time and costs and set-up local ancillary head-ends.
