SAN JOSE, Calif. -- IP Infusion, an ACCESS Company and a leading provider of production-ready networking software, today announced that it has teamed up with Fujitsu Labs of America to build an effective solution to enable network equipment manufacturers to create superior high-speed aggregation switches. IP Infusion has successfully integrated its Layer 2 switching software ZebOS with Fujitsu's AXEL-X switching chipset.

ZebOS is IP Infusion's industry-leading Layer 2 and Layer 3 IP protocol suite. Fujitsu's AXEL-X is a 20-port 10GbE switch chip that delivers over 400Gbps non-blocking, aggregate switching bandwidth.

This integrated solution combining IP Infusion's software and Fujitsu's hardware will enable network equipment manufacturers to meet the increasing need for high-speed, robust, scalable aggregation switches in the enterprise core, as well as the proliferation of Ethernet switching into service provider networks. Also, this integrated set of product offerings allows equipment makers to more cost-effectively integrate switch chips with routing protocols into their products now and in the future.

"IP Infusion continues its commitment to providing the most advanced networking protocol suite with ease of development in the market," said Yoshinari Yoshikawa, Vice President Business Development of IP Infusion. "This integration is one of our efforts to empower OEMs and networking equipment vendors with the best routing and switching software for their networking devices, which improves their efforts to deliver products with high quality while accelerating time to market."
