Ingate Earns 3Com Certification

LAS VEGAS -- Ingate® Systems (www.ingate.com ), whose award-winning security products enable enterprises to help solve the problem of letting Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) traverse their firewalls, today announced it has achieved “3Com Approved” status in the 3Com Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Solution Provider Program (VSPP).

The “3Com Approved” status is awarded only to those companies whose products have been installed and rigorously tested by 3Com and found to successfully interoperate with 3Com’s® secure, converged networking products.

Ingate’s debut in the 3Com VSPP program will be showcased at the 3Com booth (#1725) at Networld+Interop 2005. Demos with Ingate Firewall® and award-winning Ingate SIParator® products will be held at the 3Com booth highlighting the products’ unique functionalities and interoperability.

Ingate’s SIP-enabling Firewalls and SIParators help solve the Network Address Translation (NAT) traversal issues inherent in SIP communications. In addition to near-end NAT traversal, Ingate offers Remote SIP Connectivity, a far-end NAT traversal solution that extends the SIP capabilities of the corporate network to remote workers. Remote SIP Connectivity enhances the mobility of employees significantly by enabling the use of corporate VoIP, IM, etc. from a hotel room, satellite office or even broadband-equipped airplane – as long as an Internet connection is available.
