CHICAGO -- At Supercomm 2005 IneoQuest Technologies, the Video over IP Quality Specialists™, is demonstrating the first single video over IP test platform that satisfies each phase of the converged network lifecycle -- from helping speed high-quality components to market to enabling network operators to proactively assess and monitor thousands of video streams simultaneously.

The company is announcing today:

-- The industry's first 10 Gigabit Ethernet video-over-IP test platform - a reconfigurable tool with three modes of operation for generation and simultaneous analysis and monitoring of thousands of video streams;

-- The IQMediaProbe, a value priced test probe for remote monitoring of streaming voice, video and data quality over Triple Play Networks;

-- Tandberg Television Integrates IneoQuest video over IP monitoring in their nCompass network control system for remote monitoring of video over IP quality;

-- Rural Telecom adopts IneoQuest platform for delivering network Quality of Service (QoS).

IneoQuest has also recently proposed the media delivery index (MDI) -- the first tool to measure an IP network's dynamic performance in delivering streaming video content. The proposal has been submitted to the IETF. The goal of MDI is to support a more integrated converged network infrastructure in which engineers, network architects and operators can for the first time reliably assess video quality across a switched IP network.

What is "the Converged Network Lifecycle?"

The converged network lifecycle comprises three distinct stages: 1) component design and test; 2) verifying interoperability between components and network and commissioning; and 3) deployment, support, maintenance and monitoring to ensure Quality of Service (QoS). Quality video delivery correlates closely with the interdependence of the network equipment manufacturers and network operators who are responsible for these three stages.

Built on FPGA technology, IneoQuest tools are reconfigurable. Thus, they can function in up to three different modes and they are the only video over IP test equipment on the market today that can satisfy both network equipment manufacturers and network providers during all phases of the converged network lifecycle. This flexibility simplifies tool requirements and increases the ability to share test results and deliver more efficient network maintenance.

"IneoQuest's ability to monitor multiple video over IP streams simultaneously according to the media delivery index (MDI) is a clear value add to our nCompass Network Management System," said Richard Bullock, Business Development Manager for TANDBERG Television. "This capability is pushing our customer's visibility of their network performance and video quality further than ever before, ensuring a better managed network and maximum uptime."

CHICAGO -- IneoQuest Technologies, the Video over IP Quality Specialists(TM), and TANDBERG Television, market leaders in video compression and on-demand systems, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding at Supercomm that will strengthen the adoption of Video over IP technology for today's converged networks.

The use of IP networks as a transmission medium is an enabling technology to network operators providing IPTV and video on demand programming to their subscribers. Once on the converged network, IP packet loss and packet delay variations create the potential for video quality degradation at various points in the network.

"Working together, IneoQuest and TANDBERG Television are helping network operators to harness best in class network equipment and test tools to aggressively address video over IP quality challenges," said Richard Bullock, Business Development Manager for TANDBERG Television. "IneoQuest's ability to monitor hundreds of Video over IP streams simultaneously with the Media Delivery Index measurement, or MDI, is a clear value add to our nCompass Network Management System, pushing our customers' visibility of their network performance and video quality further than ever before and ensuring a better managed network and maximum uptime."

CHICAGO -- IneoQuest Technologies, the Video over IP Quality Specialists(TM), today announced that Rural Telephone Service Co., Inc., a Kansas corporation, has installed IneoQuest tools for test and monitoring of its advanced IPTV network deployment across its 35 central offices throughout western Kansas. The IneoQuest test solutions provide Rural Telephone with the necessary 24/7 network visibility for ensuring video quality of service is maintained across all video streams.

As IPTV network deployments continue to expand, driving increased content capacity, quality expectations need to be managed to ensure continued customer satisfaction. However, efficient management of large distributed IPTV networks over remote areas with multiple equipment venders requires new monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities.

"Rural Telephone was looking for a test and monitoring solution that would enable seamless content transmission over our advanced IPTV Gigabit Ethernet network to our remote headends. However, traditional layer 2 and 3 test equipment was not providing the necessary information we needed to determine how our network was performing," said Shane Broyles, Research and Development Coordinator for Rural Telephone. "The IneoQuest Singulus(TM) G1-T and IQMediaMonitor(TM), together with the IQSoftwareSuite(TM) multi-mode application software's ability to simultaneously monitor all streams on our Gigabit network, enabled us to quickly identify network issues and confer with our equipment manufacturers for very fast problem resolution."

CHICAGO -- IneoQuest Technologies, the Video over IP Quality Specialists™, today announced the IQMediaProbe, a value priced test probe for remote monitoring of streaming voice, video and data quality over IP Networks. The new IQMediaProbe is based on the successful IneoQuest IQMediaMonitor platform and supports monitoring and debugging of 10/100-unicast and multicast video over IP streams.

The IQMediaProbe offers extremely cost effective remote monitoring and debugging of IP network problems at the edge of the network to the customer premise. Compact, rugged and lightweight, the IQMediaProbe is compatible with all of the IneoQuest host applications. Field personnel can use the IQMediaProbe with a laptop and analyze problems or place it in a remote location such as the network edge or customer premise and monitor it via the Internet.

"The combined introduction of our IQMediaProbe and 10 gigabit product provides support for IP media generation, analysis and monitoring from 10Mb through 10Gb with all the same user interface," says Marc Todd, President and CEO of IneoQuest. "IQMediaProbe brings our solution into the price range of the field engineer, who needs tools that support the last mile of content delivery."
