Imake announces adoption of CableLabs 2.0

BETHESDA, Md. -- IMAKE Software & Services, Inc. has announced itsOpenVision video on demand platform supports CableLabs 2.0 specifications, bringing the latest in opensystems solutions and interfaces for content creation and distribution to content providers,telecommunication companies, cable companies, and satellite providers. The CableLabs 2.0specifications were developed as a collaborative effort amongst the industry in order to reduce transportand storage of backend content, increase the amount of metadata available when searching and createintuitive user interfaces.

Along with supporting the 2.0 specifications, IMAKE’s OpenVision Content Creator v4.5/v4.6 has newfunctionality to help ease the creation, distribution, delivery and management of content for any user.Recognizing the need for operational convenience, v4.5/v4.6 now supports remote editing/viewingworkstations allowing the user to quickly acquire and edit content with the latest native MPEG-2/H.264CableLabs compliant editing tools. Other features include live viewing of streaming content with manualstart and stop and multi-stream ingestion/capture. IMAKE also recently integrated its Content Creator tothe latest Scopus and EGT encoders, Rhozet and Telestream transcoders as well as support for Leitchbroadcast equipment in order to maximize the capabilities of our customers and work with their existinginfrastructure.

In 2009, IMAKE plans to enhance the OpenVision Content Creator to support the insertion of adcampaigns and SCTE triggers into the digitized feature content. This will enhance the system’s currentcapability to deliver and export advertisements with an open system XML. This functionality will allowIMAKE’s clients to increase their revenue through new marketing and sponsorship opportunities.With these strategic improvements, IMAKE has gained significant market over the last year. IMAKE hasdeployed its Content Creator with several new customers around the world including one of the largestsatellite providers in Europe, multiple cable operators in Puerto Rico and Central America and the largestcable operator in the U.S.
