Huawei has won a contract to construct the national IP backbone network for Callmate Telips Telecom in Pakistan

SHENZHEN, China -- Huawei Technologies, a global telecom equipment and solutions provider, today announced that it has won a contract to construct the whole national IP backbone network for Callmate Telips Telecom Ltd, the first long distance fixed line private operator in Pakistan.
The purpose of this project is to build up Callmate Telips’ Next Generation IP backbone network and to bear various NGN (Next Generation Network) services. To meet the strict requirements of Callmate Telips, Huawei provides its 5th Generation Routers NE80, NE40, and AR 4600, to design a datacomm network with high-performance and reliability. This network will meet the demand of fast service increase in the future perfectly and the devices will be deployed in Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, and all the other major cities in Pakistan.
At the same time, Callmate Telips selects Huawei to provide all the other equipments for this NGN network, including Media Gateway, SoftSwitch and IN (Intelligent Network) platform.
