COLOGNE, Germany -- Hitron Technologies, the DOCSIS 3.0 gateway specialists, are demonstrating their latest 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 router at ANGA Cable, enabling European cable operators to maximise their high-speed internet offering to consumers.

The CDE-30350 is an 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 router with 802.11n wireless capability, based on the Texas Instruments chipset. The CDE-30350 provides more efficient handling of the data stream, enabling cable operators to offer speeds of over 120Mbps, with a single modem able of handling 400Mbps.

With eight bonded downstream channels, the CDE-30350 can deliver downstream data in excess of 400Mbps – up to eight times faster than conventional single-channel DOCSIS 2.0 cable modems. In the upstream the four bonded channels enable operators to supply upstream data rates in excess of 120Mbps

The CDE-30350 has been designed to ensure it provides the most reliable 802.11n wireless network possible for users, both for internet access and local network usage such as file sharing. This has been achieved by using a dedicated CPU for the WiFi component.

Hitron is also demonstrating a non-wireless 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 router at ANGA, the CDR-39350.
