Hitron Brings New D3 Modem to ANGA
Hitron launches the world's first 24x8 PUMA6 cable modems at ANGA Cable
June 11, 2012
AMSTERDAM -- At Anga Hitron Europe Technologies B.V. is launching its new flagship products, the CDA-32372 and CDE-32372 which are both based on the Puma-6mg in 24x8. Hitron is regularly first-to-market with bleeding-edge technologies, reliably delivering the competitive advantages that make sure our world-leading MSO customers stay at the top where they belong. This time is no different; as we launch the first products of our new range of Puma-6mg based cable modems and gateways.
The Puma-6mg supports 24x8 channel bonding with which Euro-DOCSIS 3.0 provides current speeds up to over 1Gbps, with an upstream of 320Mbps. With the additional network processor (1.2GHz ATOM) and increased memory capabilities the puma-6mg based products open the door to new applications and services for our customers to deploy.
"We will be demonstrating the puma-6mg based solution at ANGA so our customers can be the first to see the next generation products. The 24x8 configuration allows our customers to compete with the increasing FTTH competition they face in a manner that shows their customers and the investment community that cable still has a lot of headroom on the plant to reach higher speeds. The added network processor allows for new innovative services to be deployed by our customers" said Rudy Zijlstra, Chief Technology Officer of Hitron Europe.
