Hammerhead Systems announces Jack Reeves as VP of global sales

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Hammerhead Systems, Inc., the market leader in edge migration solutions, today announced the appointment of Jack Reeves to the newly created position of VP of Global Sales. Jack will lead the direct sales force as well as the channel strategy and partnerships worldwide. Jack joins Hammerhead after 26 years as a sales executive in both large telecom equipment suppliers as well as start-ups. Most recently Jack was VP of Sales for Enterprise, Partners and Channels at Ciena Corp, following the acquisition of Akara Corporation, where he was Executive VP of Sales and Marketing.

Prior to Ciena/Akara, Jack was Executive VP of Sales at OptiMight Communications, Executive VP and GM of Sales and Services at Ericsson, and VP of Sales and Global Account Manager at Alcatel for AT&T. He also held management positions in engineering, marketing, sales and channels at SBC and was an officer in the U.S. Navy. Jack received a BS in Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy.
