Gnubi expands into data communications with launch of new dual Gigabit Ethernet product
June 3, 2002
ATLANTA -- gnubi communications, the proven supplier of multi-channel telecommunications test environments, today announced at SUPERCOMM 2002 in Atlanta that the company is expanding into the converged communications space with the release of its new Dual Gigabit Ethernet Transceiver. The new dual-port module allows testing of up to 34 Gigabit Ethernet transceiver ports in a single 4 RU chassis, and features the highest port density available on the market today for testing multi-layer Ethernet equipment. It can generate and analyze traffic, as well as track transmit and receive statistics. The module extends the flexibility of gnubi’s EPX and TransPort test systems. It works with any of gnubi’s existing test chasses; it can be used in conjunction with other gnubi modules for multi-rate testing, or with other GigE modules for simultaneous multi-channel testing. “Like all our past product releases and business initiatives, this move reflects the needs of our customers,” said Jim Stevens, gnubi President and CEO. “Our GigE module gives users the ability to create the new test applications they need and also expand their existing applications as they grow.” Product data sheets and downloadable images of the GigE product are available at www.gnubi.com. The product is also on display at SUPERCOMM 2002, Atlanta, June 4-6, in booth no. 31624. Gnubi CommunicationsFor more information on Supercomm 2002, please visit: Supercomm Special
