CELEBRATION, Fla. -- VoX Communications Corp., eLEC Communications Corp.'s (OTCBB: ELEC) wholesale and retail provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services nationwide, today announced that Florida Telephone Services (FTS) will expand its offering with private-labeled broadband phone service from VoX. The new service from FTS will be available to residential and small business customers nationwide beginning in May 2006.
FTS currently provides traditional local and long distance phone service in Florida, Texas and Nevada. Now, with VoX Communications, FTS is setting its sights on a nationwide market for digital voice services, while meeting consumer demand for phone service that offers more features and unlimited calling for less money. On average, FTS' broadband phone services will cost 40 percent less than their traditional unlimited rate plan. The company plans to launch the new service with a targeted regional advertising campaign consisting of television, radio and print ads.
"When we made the decision to offer broadband phone service, it was critical that we identify a high quality VoIP solution that would work with our existing billing and support processes and systems," said Paul Joachim, CEO at FTS. "VoX was extremely flexible in working with us and efficient in meeting our business requirements. They also provide VoIP expertise to complement our in-house telecom expertise. It's a great partnership."
