ATLANTA, Ga. -- FlexLight Networks has appointed Rick Sequerth as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He will be based at the company's headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. An optical access pioneer delivering the industry's first Gigabit Passive Optical Networking (GPON) solution for the last mile, FlexLight will benefit from Sequerth's 17 years of global telecommunications and high-tech sales experience.

Prior to joining FlexLight, Sequerth was VP of Sales and Service for Crescent Networks and has also fulfilled sales management roles with companies including Air Fiber Inc., Centigram Communications, Stratacom/Cisco and Primary Access, in addition to being responsible for closing deals with the likes of Bell Atlantic, Sprint and BellSouth. Rick has also built up experience in managing non-sales activities such as fundraising, mergers and acquisition initiatives, and partnership programmes with major OEMs, VARs and market accelerators.
