LONDON -- Anite, one of the telecoms' industry's leading billing system providers, has signed a new contract with Finnet International (FNI) to provide the Calculus Interconnect solution. FNI is part of the Elisa Corporation, a EUR 1.5 billion turnover group that provides total telecommunication services and solutions. This significant deal adds to Anite's impressive client list of incumbent and emerging telco service providers worldwide, and consolidates its position in the market-leading Scandinavian and Baltic region.

The new contract follows an exhaustive tendering process by FNI to find a replacement for their in-house solution. A reference visit confirmed FNI's belief that Anite and the Calculus solution would support them well into the future.

Gunnar Nyström, Managing Director at FNI said: "With our rapidly expanding customer base and increasing sales, we needed a more flexible billing solution. Anite stood out from the competition by clearly demonstrating that they are able to satisfy complex requirements that are specific to a sophisticated interconnect business. The new system will deliver tangible improvements in our billing management and support us in our business plans."

Commenting on the deal Saul Nurtman, Managing Director at Anite's Calculus division, said: "Finnet International selected Anite on the strength of Calculus' functionality and flexibility which enables rapid product launches and innovation, and comprehensive reporting capabilities. In addition, they have the added reassurance that our fully referenceable client base is very important to us and key to our continued success. We welcome Finnet International as a client and look forward to working with them."
