Fibernet continues European expansion with acquisition of ICG Interconnect AG for US$2.6 million

BASINGSTOKE, U.K. -- Fibernet Group plc, the high-speed datacommunications group, today announces the acquisition of ICG Interconnect AGfor DM 5.8m (£1.8m).ICG Interconnect AG is an independent provider of comprehensive datanetworking solutions and was founded in Berlin in 1991. ICG is anestablished company that provides local, metropolitan and wide areanetworking products and services to both the telecoms operator and corporatemarkets in Germany.ICG's revenues for 2000 were DM 27m (£8.6m), employing 47 staff with a listof clients that includes Viag Interkom, QS Communications, Siemens AG,Berlin Capital Fund and ALD Garanta Finanz.
