David Kettler and Paul Pishal named to expand H.I.G. Capital's presence in Atlanta

MIAMI, Fla. — H.I.G. Capital, a venture capital and private equity firm investing in private companies within the communications, software and Internet/e-Commerce markets, announced today that David Kettler and Paul Pishal have joined its Atlanta office. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, H.I.G. Capital is expanding its presence in Atlanta to better serve its growing investment activity and current portfolio companies in that market.
Mr. Kettler will be joining H.I.G. Capital from BellSouth where he served as Vice President of the Science & Technology organization and Chief Architect for the BellSouth Network. David formed the Science & Technology organization in 1987, which under his tenure grew to become an integral part of the formulation of BellSouth’s strategies and technology – particularly the design, development, and deployment of advanced services. Mr. Pishal joins H.I.G. Capital from Cisco Systems where he led advanced architecture development for the Broadband Access Market. Mr. Pishal has been instrumental in developing industry-leading solutions for integrated voice, video, and data services both from a system architecture and product perspective.
