SAN DIEGO -- Entropic Communications, Inc., a leading provider of systems solutions to enable connected home entertainment, today announced its first strategic partnership with a Chinese-owned company, BROWAN Communications, to deliver innovative broadband access solutions to the Chinese market. This strategic partnership allows BROWAN to offer its customers, leading MSOs and cable operators in China, product solutions to economically deliver triple play services over the existing cable infrastructure to single-family homes and high-density multi-dwelling units (MDUs).

BROWAN is integrating Entropic's c.LINK Access technology in network controllers and customer premise equipment for service provider deployment throughout China. BROWAN customers plan to implement these solutions initially to offer low-cost, high-speed Internet services, but will be able to easily add additional communication services in the future which take advantage of c.LINK's full range of data, voice and video capabilities.

"BROWAN is a highly innovative company and a respected brand. They have chosen to leverage our c.LINK Access technology to enable their customers to offer cost effective enhanced broadband communication services to the Chinese market," commented John Graham, VP of Marketing at Entropic Communications. "We are delighted to be working with BROWAN to build a prosperous long-term partnership."
