WATERLOO, Ontario -- The Descartes Systems Group Inc., (Nasdaq:DSGX), (TSX:DSG), a trusted provider of logistics solutions, today introduced MobileLink: Commerce(TM), a wireless routing and scheduling application for real-time event management and financial settlement in delivery operations. Designed as an upgrade to Descartes' existing Routing and Scheduling(TM) solutions, MobileLink: Commerce is available immediately for use with either Descartes Roadshow(R) or Descartes Fleetwise(TM) logistics software. Ideal for direct delivery operations such as home office delivery services, online storefront delivery services and direct store delivery services, MobileLink: Commerce synchronizes delivery and payment events with customer service and billing systems at point of delivery. Through the use of MobileLink: Commerce, route drivers are able to capture signatures for proof-of-delivery, settle payment for goods and print invoices on demand. The capture and integration of settlement information at the time of delivery improves billing accuracy and accelerates operational cash flow. MobileLink: Commerce is also key in identifying and reporting order problems in real-time to customer service and distribution support organizations. "Customers needing systems for supply chain execution understand that Descartes is a market leader and that we are committed to earning customer trust through market-leading product innovation," said Manuel Pietra, co-chief executive officer and president, Descartes Systems Group. "For over ten years, Descartes has driven innovation in the use of wireless technologies for improved efficiencies in route delivery and we continue to be differentiated from other providers by the ease in which our products, like MobileLink: Commerce, can be deployed."
