Dacom Picks Nortel for VOIP
Dacom Corporation selects Nortel Networks to provide a next generation network VOIP and multimedia solution

SEOUL, South Korea -- DacomCorporation, a leading Korean provider of telephony, Internet and datacommunications services, has selected Nortel Networks to provide a next generation network (NGN) voiceover IP (Internet Protocol) and multimedia solution. The Dacomcontract was awarded to Nortel Networks through its Korea channeldistributor, ITIAN Corporation.
Nortel Networks will supply Dacom with a comprehensive voice overIP solution that includes products from Nortel Networks multimediacommunications and Nortel Networks Succession voice over IPportfolios.

Dacom's NGN network will be based on Nortel Networks' SuccessionCommunication Server (CS) 2000-Compact superclass softswitch andMultimedia Communication Server (MCS) 5200, which enables delivery ofnew, revenue-generating services at lower operational costs. Theseproducts will enable Dacom to offer customers enhanced communicationsservices that will create simplified communications, enhanced mobilityand increased productivity.
