June 13, 2000
CoreExpress, the first company to guarantee extranet communication across multiple ISPs, today announced that it has secured $573 million in funding from industry powerhouses, including Benchmark Capital, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Nortel Networks as well as a loan facility from Cisco Capital. The company's mezzanine investors include Amerindo Investment, Bowman Capital, Capital Research and Management Company, Octane Capital, and Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV).
CoreExpress is the first company to offer an extranet service that provides performance guarantees between businesses using different ISPs, so these businesses can safely migrate their B2B e-commerce applications to the Internet. This new service allows companies to leverage the cost savings and ubiquitous access of the Internet while realizing the reliability, performance and security benefits previously attainable only with a private network. Companies can now conduct transactions, send sensitive data and share mission-critical applications with business partners seamlessly and reliably over the Internet. The CoreExpress Board of Directors are individuals who have backed some of the industry's most successful companies.
