Conway Corporation rolls out Docsis 3.0 Internet package
December 15, 2010
CONWAY, Ark. -- With the addition of a Docsis 3.0 (data over cable system interoperability standard) Internet service, Conway Corporation customers can now experience the fastest Internet speeds around.
The new service is available as the Turbo package for residential customers and the Premier package for businesses. The service, which requires a Docsis 3.0 cable modem, offers up to 50 Mbps downstream and 3 Mbps upstream.
Prior to the Docsis 3.0 launch, Conway Corporation added a new tier of Internet service with speeds of 18 Mbps downstream. That package launched in August at a cost of $49.95 per month. At the same time, the company's existing 8 Mbps downstream Internet service saw a 50% increase in speed to 12 Mbps downstream, at a rate of $39.95 per month. Both packages have 1.5 Mbps upstream.
"The launch of DOCSIS 3.0 opens the doors to the next generation of Internet technology," said Conway Corporation CEO Richard Arnold. "As DOCSIS 3.0 has been deployed to our customers, Internet speeds have been increased and additional speed plans are now available."
