LONDON -- Completel and Swisscom Enterprise Solutions have deployed Nortel Networks (NYSE:NT) (TSE:NT.) Contivity products to meet growing demand from their enterprise customers for increased network security. Both use Contivity Virtual Private Network (VPN) Switches, allowing customers to take advantage of IP (Internet Protocol) networks in a more secure environment. "In spite of the large number of competing VPN products on the market, only Nortel Networks Contivity VPN Switch demonstrated the combination of functionality and performance that we knew was necessary to satisfy our demands," said Theodor Bruggermann, corporate communications, Service Development, Swisscom. The managed security services market is expected to reach US$46 billion by 2005, according to IDC. Managed security services enable greater access to data while minimising security breaches and managing IT related costs. Nortel Networks Corp.
