HICKORY, N.C. -- CommScope has introduced a new multimedia over coax alliance (MoCA) amplifier to its Signal Vision® line of subscriber drop products for cable operators.

With the growing demand for MoCA-compatible networking components to facilitate services like download on-demand programming, digital video recording (DVR) and in-home video/data sharing, many cable operators desire the convenience of having a MoCA-enhanced amplifier available to their next generation customers. CommScope meets this demand with the introduction of the Signal Vision MoCA amplifier.

Currently available in a two-output, all ports down configuration, this amplifier is designed to enhance MoCA capability within the home cable television network. With 15 dB of gain in the forward path and a passive reverse path, this MoCA amplifier supports the technologies needed to drive today’s high-speed voice, video and data networks. Designed in an aluminum housing utilizing brass F-ports and moisture/RFI gaskets, this product meets or exceeds all SCTE requirements as well as the harsh demands of an outside plant environment.

“CommScope is continuously enhancing the already successful Signal Vision product portfolio in an effort to bring the new generation of consumers the digital content they demand,” said Neil Phillips, vice president of Signal Vision, CommScope. “This is another CommScope innovation that benefits cable operators and their customers.”
