CHERRY HILL, N.J. -- iCueTV and the Comcast Media Center (CMC) have entered into an agreement to validate iCueTV’s t-Commerce, Voting/Polling, and RFI fulfillment platform, moving the company closer towards first market deployment. The agreement paves the way for cable system operators that have signed on as beta sites for the CMC’s HITS™ AxIS service to test t-commerce and RFI set top box applications integrated into iCueTV’s ETS platform.

At this year’s Cable Show ‘09, iCueTV will showcase the first fully operational t-Commerce application and back-end fulfillment solution that successfully meets the open cable specifications set by CableLabs for enhanced television programming (ETV). With the help of itaas, a leading provider of multi-platform solutions for MSOs, programmers and interactive application developers, iCueTV will provide a suite of set top box applications, all powered by iCueTV’s ETS platform,to Digital Cable customers.

Three set top box applications, including two t-Commerce and a Request-For-Information (RFI) solution from iCueTV and itaas interact with iCueTV’s ETS fulfillment back-end through a complete suite of API’s. This suite of applications will be delivered “live” from the CMC’s iTV operations center in Denver via the local Comcast Cable system headend to the HITS AxIS demo in “The Lofts on Fast Lane” at Broadband Nation. The applications allow visitors to the HITS AxIS demo to order DVDs or Blu-Ray disc of popular TV shows featured on two of the industry’s leading television networks using a PIN based on a pre-established profile registration process. Viewers who pre-register by having their Cable Show badges scanned at the CMC (booth no. 1613) or with iCueTV (in the itaas booth, no. 1401) exhibits will be able to use the t-commerce application to order complimentary copies of DVDs and Blu-ray discs of either program. iCueTV will also be showing these applications in the itaas booth.

“This agreement is a major milestone for iCueTV and a great testament of our vision where our application for the next phase in television is poised for deployment,” said Michael Huegel, President and CTO, iCueTV. “Our relationship with the Comcast Media Center’s HITS AxIS service allows our teams to work closely together to conquer the most difficult challenges with speed and agility.”
