JACKSON, Miss. -- In a continuing effort to provide the best wireless service for Mississippi residents, Cingular Wireless has announced the completion of its advanced GSM network throughout the state. GSM technology allows Cingular to offer phones with greater functionality and unique features, superior sound quality and high-speed data connectivity.

The new GSM network is part of Cingular's 2004 commitment to invest $110 million in Alabama/Mississippi and $3 billion nationally -- adding more cell sites, circuits and switches -- for an enhanced wireless experience.

"Consumers have become more and more dependent on wireless service for all aspects of their lives, both business and personal," said Doyle Warrington, Cingular Wireless Director of Sales - Mississippi. "Clearer, higher-quality calls, faster data speeds, and comprehensive coverage are essential in meeting consumers' wireless needs today, and that's what we are focused on delivering."
