LEXINGTON, Mass. -- Chinook Communications, Inc. has appointed veteran broadband executive Sonia Khademi as Executive Vice President. She will work closely with leaders of the broadband industry to drive the adoption of Chinook's revolutionary bandwidth creation technology for embedding digital content into existing video channels. Khademi represents a unique combination of entrepreneurial skills and broadband industry knowledge. As former President and CEO of CableSoft Corporation, Sonia brought the company to the forefront of the Interactive Television Market and the center of the convergence of television and the World Wide Web. Bringing more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Khademi launched the cable industry's first commercially available Interactive Television service, demonstrating her expertise in the planning, developing, and delivery of complex and innovative information services. She successfully sold CableSoft to Motorola and then to OpenTV in a span of 11 months. Khademi previously held senior roles with the Interactive Systems Corporation, a division of Kodak, Hughes LAN Systems and, most recently, with Cisco Systems.
