Ceterus Networks adds key executives to help lead growth cycle

RICHARDSON, Texas -- Ceterus Networks, a provider of efficient and resilient Ethernet backhaul and enterprise transport solutions, today announced that it has expanded its leadership team by adding three proven executives to guide the company’s sales, financial and product management functions. The strategic leadership additions reflect the rapidly growing demand for the family of Ceterus products.

“These executives join Ceterus Networks at a time of unprecedented growth and opportunity,” said Dave Stehlin, president and CEO of Ceterus Networks. “Our customer base and overall business is expanding rapidly as carriers are entering a period of strong investment in areas such as cell site backhaul for 3G and 4G data applications and Ethernet to distributed enterprises. Our technology and product family are ideally suited for these critical needs and Troy, Mark and Jeffrey bring tremendous experience and a history of success to help us capitalize on this situation. These new members of our executive team have recognized the long-term potential of Ceterus, and will bring great value to an already strong team.”

Joining the company:

  • Troy D. Conley, Vice President of North American Sales, is responsible for all sales operations at Ceterus. A sales veteran of the communications industry since 1982, Conley joins Ceterus from White Rock Networks where he was vice president of sales. Previously, Conley held regional vice president positions with Mahi Networks and Accelerated Networks. He also led sales efforts for Advanced Fibre Communications and DSC Communications Corporation. Conley is currently an MBA candidate with Baylor University and holds a technician’s diploma from DeVry Institute of Technology.

  • Jeffrey A. Havlock, Chief Financial Officer, oversees financial operations for Ceterus. A certified public accountant with more than two decades of manufacturing experience, Havlock comes to the company from Keys Fitness Products where he also served as CFO, managing annual revenues of more than $100 million. Havlock is a former CFO of the telecom firm Navini Networks, and M&S Systems, a manufacturer of high-end home accessories. Havlock also has been a controller and financial analyst with companies such as Grumman Olson Industries and Northrop Grumman. Havlock began his career in public accounting. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Akron, and an MBA from The University of Chicago.

  • Mark A. McDonald, Vice President of Product Management, is responsible for product management, marketing and customer support. Most recently, McDonald was vice president and general manager of the wireline product group for ADC Telecommunications Corporation, where he previously served as vice president of marketing and product management for the wireless and wireline systems division. McDonald also held a number vice president-level positions for Marconi Communications (formerly Reltec Corporation), including product marketing and business development. McDonald previously was marketing director for DSC Communications, where he managed the Americas’ wireless local loop division. He also served as director of systems engineering for DSC. Earlier in his career, McDonald worked as director of product development for Rockwell International and Alcatel. He holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University.
